-LOOKS-
Appearance (100 character minimum): Standing at about 5’11,” Kabnel Vantas may not be particularly tall, but what he lacks in height he makes up for in muscle and personality. Having been teased for his stocky figure as a young child, he has a bit of an obsession with staying fit. Though he’s a little over half a century old, he still looks to be in his early forties thanks to the slow aging of all wizards and witches. Dark skinned with blunt features, he can frequently be seen sporting a bit of scruff on his chin from forgetting to shave. Has been unofficially nominated sexiest headmaster of the last three hundred years by the elder female student population of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Often wears his cloak’s hood just so he can hide his permanent bedhead. Considering he’s often busy with intellectual matters, he sometimes forgoes seeing to his personal appearance… but feels he can be forgiven for the flaw since no one but Kankri and the fussiest of visiting pureblood parents ever make note of it.

-ABOUT-
Personality (200 character minimum): Generally very cool and collected, he’s the definition of kind and compassionate when it comes to dealing with issues. Patient to a fault and always willing to lend a hand no matter how big or small the problem may be. His only issues are with people who break the rules for no real reason, and his fiery personality only comes to light when arguing for the things he believes in. Is a firm advocate of second chances and muggle-wizard equality. He very rarely gets violent, preferring the most peaceful and nonconfrontational methods available, but can be provoked into going further if it can’t be helped. See: Aza’zel Makara.
Background (Why Hogwarts? Childhood? Any connections to other characters?): Having fought his way to a respectable position in wizarding society over the past few decades, Kabnel is one of the foremost advocates for muggle equality and reform in the Ministry of Magic concerning their rights and the rights of other magical creatures deemed to be lesser than humans. He seeks to teach the next generation right from wrong and make a strong positive impact on them, opening their minds up to broader social issues and teaching them to stand up for what’s right. It’s a difficult job, but he doesn’t mind the challenge.
He currently only has two relatives that he knows about: Kankri and Karkat Vantas. After his fallout with the eldest Lejion and their son’s disappearance, he had given up hope of finding any comfort in familial relationships. However, thanks to a conversation with the Salem academy’s headmaster, he found the two boys and adopted them through a lengthy process before having them enrolled in Hogwarts.
For Professors: Why is your character teaching the class they are: Has an extensive interest in magical history, childcare, and in the social issues surrounding muggle-wizard and magical beings-wizard relationships.
Quirks & Et cetera (Anything else you would like to add?): Always keeps a bottle of 99 proof vodka in his desk under lock and key. He shares it occasionally with Aza’zel, whom he wrestles with weekly to both stay in shape and work out some aggression. He’s much shorter than him but they both know they’re roughly equals when it comes to magic. He’s hoping the job will mellow the groundskeeper out some, and keeps a careful eye on his activities to keep him from harming students or other sentient beings. He does turn his eyes away when it comes to some of the more necessary dirty work, though….
